9 weeks after I attended Darla’s Embody event, I hosted my first retreat: the 3-Day Beachside Writing Retreat, which netted $22,500 and counting. Leading a writing retreat is a dream I’ve had since 2018, but I put it off because the project felt too big and uncertain. Especially since the other in-person events I led weren’t profitable.
